Team Approach

distributionIFS is committed to creating an environment where employees feel they are part of the company. We firmly believe the only way to build a company is through investing in our most important resource – people! IFS builds unique programs to motivate all employees from the assembly worker to the work station supervisor to the supervisor.

Rather than second-guessing how the team is performing, we ask team members to decide. Once a month we have the employees rate the following factors on a one-to-five scale, with five being the strongest agreement.

Roles. We each know our contribution to the team and our skills are being used.
Productivity. Our work is as good as it can possibly be. We meet or exceed the established goals.
Motivation. We want to keep working until a task is done well.
Vision. We understand our team’s purpose and goals, and we are dedicated to them.
Focus. Customer needs and services are part of the teams underlying focus. Positive customer feedback from ‘Quality Assurance Questionnaires’ reflects that the team is doing well.
The numbers always point to an area where our performance can be enhanced. When situations are identified, the team immediately brainstorms for solutions. The staff is always encouraged to voice innovative ideas to help the company run even more effectively.

As a result of our people and service philosophy, IFS has the best quality team in the fulfillment industry!

IFS’s success and competitive advantages rest with our employees. We have adopted a total team approach in the selection of staff. All employees are rewarded and commended for entrepreneurial ideas that help the company grow effectively. Everyone’s ideas are considered impartially, so that all ideas stand on their own merit. All team members have power to make decisions within clearly defined parameters.

Employees have responsibility for narrowing down the search for key personnel and then present the top candidate(s) to the owners for a final decision. All references and qualifications are checked very carefully for legitimacy.

The Account Manager worked for the owners at a previous fulfillment house and has many years of experience in this industry where decisions must be made quickly and accurately. She provides procedures to the staff for following through on customer requests.

All representatives within the Client Services Department are selected on their ability to provide detailed customer service and follow-through on customer requests. Employees are selected from both internal and external sources depending on the client’s requirements.

Warehouse employees are chosen on their ability to meet clearly defined assembly production goals. Quality assurance controls are implemented to further measure efficiencies.

Receiving and Inventory Representatives are extremely detailed and report any shortages or overages with a sense of urgency back to Client Services and the owners. IFS closely monitors any inventory shortages and reports discrepancies back to clients with a high sense of urgency.

The Sales Department consists of high energy representatives who are highly commissioned and motivated to bring in business. Daily, weekly, quarterly and yearly sales objectives are established.
